Testing
We provide comprehensive audiologic testing
from newborns to mature adults:
Adults
Adult testing includes measurement of thresholds
for soft sounds and clearness of speech intelligibility. This
also includes testing of middle ear functioning. A comprehensive
audiologic evaluation includes:
- Air Conduction Testing
- Bone Conduction Testing
- Speech Testing
- Tympanometry or Impedance Testing
Children
Children (typically ages 2 yrs through 5 years of age) can
be tested accurately through a variety of behavioral methods.
These behavioral methods include:
- Visual Response Audiometry (VRA)
- Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA)
Infants and Non-Verbal Patients
Infants and other non-verbal patients can be tested accurately
through objective tests such as Otoacoustic Emissions or Auditory
Brainstem Response testing.
